After an employee of mine spent a weekend along the coast in Costa Rica, I decided that it would be the perfect place for us to spend "extended weekend #2." Our fist decision was where to stay. We decided on the Westin Playa Conchal. It was an all-inclusive (as all the resorts in this area of Costa Rica seemed to be). Next, we decided to rent a car because I thought we might do some touring while we were there and transportation to the resort was pretty expensive. This turned out to be a bad decision. It was super-expensive and the roads were horrible! Plus, the resort pool was so inviting that we could barely bring ourselves to leave it. We ventured out one day, but we couldn't find the beach we were looking for anyway, so we never left again. Still, it was a fabulously relaxing weekend and we greatly enjoyed every minute of the resort.
